My early days until leaving school at 17 were uneventful but soon after I became ambitious about life and eventually I was to follow two very different but two successful careers. My first was as a teacher of Physical Education and Sport, in which I exelled and enjoyed immensely. This carried on into my war service as a PTI which culminated in a rather remarkable service career where I rose through the ranks from ordinary seaman to Full Lt.
After war service I entered the field of business and was successful in many ventures as an entrepreneur. Along the way my varied contributions to public service, society and charitable works received recognition and honours from many sources as hereby listed.

1992 - Freedom of Merthyr Tydfil
1996 - Order ST John
1997 - Fellow of UWIC
Thankfully my life has been blessed with love and happiness apart from hard work and hard times.
